About Me
I am a nerd. I've always been one. I love the research environment, the creativity in collaboration, and the satisfaction of making something beautiful.
My goal is to understand and design for complexity to realize a society where joy, love, and wellbeing are regular outcomes for everyone. I enjoy navigating complexity by merging seemingly disparate disciplines and partnering with passionate people who bring different perspectives to the table, whether from lived experience or specialized expertise.
I hold a PhD from the University of Virginia in Civil Engineering, within the Behavioral Science for Sustainable Systems program, and a Bachelor of Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on sustainability. I have been affiliated with the National Academies of Sciences Engineering and Medicine, Santa Fe Institute, Stanford University's Epicenter, and the National Renewable Energy Lab.Â
